Dr. Cassi K. Pettyjohn, B.S., D.V.M.
Dr. Cassi Pettyjohn grew up in a small town in Southwest Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science and in 2006 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
After graduation, Dr. Pettyjohn pursued a career in equine medicine, which took her to the great states of Iowa, Virginia, and Texas. After moving to the Houston area, Dr. Pettyjohn began to specialize in small animal medicine. Her special interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and dentistry.
She is married with 2 children, two miniature Australian Shepherds (Ankiel and Molina), one cat (Pudge) —all her animals are named after Major League Baseball Players. She enjoys spending time with her family and helping her husband around the farm.
Dr. Mandy Hall, D.V.M., M.P.H.
Dr. Hall grew up in Magnolia, TX, and couldn't wait to come back to south Texas after veterinary school! She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2009 from St. Edward's University in Austin with the hope of being a journalist, but decided soon after how much she loved veterinary medicine. She graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree as well as a Master's of Public Health degree from Oklahoma State University in May 2016.
Her special interests include clinical pathology, parasitology, and neurologic disease. She is also highly experience with zoonotic and foreign animal disease through her public health background.
Dr. Hall is married to Trevor Hall, another Houston native, and they have two beautiful fur-children: Perry and Bruce Banner. She and her husband enjoy going to see live music and theatre, especially local artists, and like any good Texan, they love to eat.
Dr. Laura Kitten, DVM
Dr. Kitten grew up in Lubbock, TX (Wreck 'Em Tech!). She received her Bachelor of Arts with a Pre-Veterinary Specialization in 2012, and then worked as a Veterinary Technician for a year with a prominent Equine Surgeon in Lamesa, TX. At first, Dr. Kitten thought she wanted to work on horses but realized her love for small animal medicine in veterinary school at Texas A&M, where she graduated in 2017. Dr. Kitten and her husband moved to the Montgomery area shortly after finishing school, where her husband works as a fireman.
Since entering the field, Dr. Kitten has developed a passion for Dermatology, Endocrinology, and Cardiology. She also has a strong background in preventive care, as well as basic dentistry.
Dr. Kitten is married to Stephen Kitten, her high school sweetheart. The two have a Doberman named Ari and German Shorthaired Pointer named Gage. Dr. Kitten and her husband enjoy horseback riding, snow and water skiing, kayaking, and almost anything outdoors.
Corinne, Practice Manager
Corinne's love for all living things was evident from a very young age. Originally from Tucson, AZ, Corinne moved to Austin in 2008 and landed her first real job in the veterinary field working as a kennel technician. She quickly moved up at her private practice and then moved to Conroe in 2012 where she worked at BluePearl in Spring, TX in Critical Care and Neurology while obtaining her bachelors from Rice University. You can always find her with her head in a textbook, veterinary journal, or other educational article striving to learn more and educate herself. Her true passion is for anesthesia, critical and neuro anesthesia in particular.
Outside of the office, Corinne loves being outdoors as much as possible. She spends most of her time with her boyfriend at the motocross track, gardening, pampering her chickens, goats and cows, and cuddling with her 4 pitbulls and toy poodle. Her sphynx cat, Erwin Schrödinger usually tops off the dog pile.
Kendra, Veterinary Technician
Kendra was born and raised in Texas, and graduated in 2017 from Willis High School. Since starting with Stone Ridge in 2015, her goals are driven towards expanding her knowledge in small animal medicine, and striving to provide the best care she can for the patients, by treating each of them as if they were her own.
Kendra has always had a love and passion for animals. She has two pups of her own; a Pomeranian named Nala and a English Bull dog named Sadie. She also loves to spend time with family, going fishing, and watching races at the local dirt tracks.
Kelly, Veterinary Technician
Kelly moved to Conroe from Illinois around 12 years ago. She was previously in the Air Force and over the course of 10 years, was deployed twice to Korea and then to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. She has always been passionate about animals. She started working as a kennel technician and veterinarian assistant in California when she was younger. Her love for animals has continued to grow and she loves being apart of the SRVMC team.
Outside of the clinic, she is the Jr. Vice Commander with the VFW, post 4709 and is a member of the Honor Guard. She has 2 dogs; a French Mastiff, Piggy and a French Bulldog, Louie. As well as a sweet and loving tuxedo cat named Sally Mae.
Rachel, Veterinary Technician
Born and raised in Michigan, Rachel moved to Texas in 2001. She graduated from Conroe High School in 2003, and has been working with small animals since 2008. Rachel has her certifications in ultrasonography and echocardiograms, but her passion is dentistry, and she is currently the dental technician at Stone Ridge Veterinary Medical Center.
Rachel has two children, and four energetic fur-babies that ensure there is never a dull moment at home. In her spare time, she enjoys family trips while traveling with her daughters select softball team, keeping up with her adventurous son, renovating her farmhouse, and spending time with friends.
Lauren, Veterinary Technician/Parasitology Advocate
Lauren, a native Texan, graduated from Willis High School in 1998. She lives with her husband and their son. Lauren’s lifelong love for animals led her to volunteer at various animal shelters and in 2009 she became a veterinary technician. Lauren is our patient advocate and knowledgeable about parasitology, the study of animal parasites. With a special love for Chihuahuas, Lauren is skilled in their handling and behavior.
Lauren loves reading, going to the movies and spending time with her family on the "mini farm" of dogs, cats, and pet rat.
Michele, Client Care Specialist
Michele joined the Stone Ridge family in October of 2017. She has 20 years of experience in the veterinary customer care field and a lifelong love of animals. She thoroughly enjoys meeting clients and their furry family members. Client support is her passion whether she is discussing the joy of a new puppy or the end of a long journey. She is always happy to answer client questions or offer any education needed.
Michele and her husband Don live in Magnolia where they raised their three children. With the kids grown and gone, they enjoy spending time with their dogs, Puppy Puppy, Millie, Jojo, and Shwuppy. They have 2 cats, Pickle and Sissy, and Benny the African Grey parrot.
Sheila, Client Care Specialist
Sheila was born in Tulsa, OK and moved to Bellville, TX at the age of two. She recently moved to Conroe to be with her mother. After high school, she attended Houston Community College where she received her CDA in childcare. Sheila worked as a pre-school teacher for 19 years; but during those years her love for animals was always her passion. She would take in any stray and became a valued member of several rescue groups by providing help to fur babies in need. Sheila's sister Carrie has been a veterinary technician for 15 years and works at the Brenham Animal Hospital; Carrie has been her inspiration in pursuing a career in the veterinary field. Sheila has two cats, Sylvester and Simba, whom she found and bottle fed from the time they were two days old. Both will turn 7 years this May 5th. The love of her life is her 5 year old Yorkie Charlie, who makes her heart smile daily.
