We look forward to the opportunity to care for our patients throughout every stage of their lives. We understand the important role we play as they approach end of their life. We offer:

  • Pain management
  • Palliative care for pets with terminal illnesses
  • Compassionate pet euthanasia when appropriate
  • Memorials
  • Grief support
  • Cremation services

Pain Management

Ill or elderly pets may develop pain as a result of a condition or advanced age. As an owner, it is not always easy to recognize signs of pain. Our veterinarians and staff are trained to identify and reduce or eliminate pain. We understand the use of medications, supplements, and other therapies that mitigate pain and enhance quality of life.

Compassionate Euthanasia Services

Despite our best efforts and our heartfelt wishes, recovery is not always possible for ailing cats and dogs. We understand the difficult process of making end-of-life decisions for your pet. We partner with you to discuss your pet’s health and key quality-of-life indicators to assist with your decision. Providing a compassionate end to suffering and a pain-free passing can be the kindest path.

Euthanasia is never an easy choice or process. Despite that, we will do our best to ease a harrowing time. We take the time necessary to consult with owners and clearly explain all the options so you know exactly what to expect. We listen to your requests and work to accommodate your wishes. We encourage family and friends to support you and provide a private room or a tranquil outdoor area for your use. We administer a sedative first making your pet’s last moments of awareness with you be the simple act of falling to sleep.

Cremation Services & Memorials

In our effort to support you, we can coordinate cremation services for your pet. You have the option of having their ashes returned to you, or they can be scattered on your behalf. We also have pet memorial options for your consideration such as a keepsake necklace or a clay paw print.

Grieving the Loss of a Pet Companion

Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your pet’s end-of-life options. We are here to listen and to support you during this difficult time.
